We are about to head into summer, so I put together free chore charts to help us stay organized. I love chore charts, because it defines expectations, without me having to remind the kids constantly to get their chores done.
I have created three printable chore charts. You can edit them to include chores that are appropriate for your children and home.
FREE CHORE CHART
This first chart is for my older kids who don’t want to checkoff a box, but still need a reminder what chores I expect of them. Having expectations printed and posted where they can see it, decreases the arguing and resistance.

This next list, is for individual kids. Some of my children like carrying around their own paper as they accomplish their tasks, and feel gratification when they can check it completed.

This last of the free chore charts is ideal for posting on the fridge or in a place where everyone can see it. You can include up to three children on each paper. You could also add Mom and/or Dad to this chart to help the children see that everyone pitches in to make the home and family work well.

Hope this helps with teaching children hard work, accountability, and service!

Equally important is to have a place for everything. Check out the storage ideas I have on this post of my boy’s bedroom. It’s such a small space and closet, so we have to simplify and create purposefully storage solutions. When living in a 120 year old farmhouse, you have to get creative when it comes to storage.
